Michael F. Lane oversees the Financial Advisor Services group's relationships with turnkey asset management providers, broker/dealers, and bank trust departments. He handles day-to-day operations as well. Michael, who started his career as a financial advisor with AXA/Equitable, has been working with fee-based and fee-only financial advisors since 1994. He has published three books including Secrets of the Wealth Makers and a number of articles on financial planning and advisory practices.
Before joining Dimensional in 2004, Michael was a director of advisor services at TIAA-CREF. In this role, he was responsible for the creation of third-party distribution of mutual funds, annuities, and education savings plans, as well as other financial planning and retirement solutions. Previously, he was president of advisor resources at AEGON, where he was in charge of marketing and sales of annuity and mutual fund products to financial advisors. While at AEGON, he created software to provide comparative analysis of annuities and mutual funds.
Michael holds a B.A. in political science from Binghamton University in New York.
