As a regional director in Institutional Services, Michael J. Porter develops relationships with investment consultants who evaluate asset managers and advise institutional investors. Prior to joining Dimensional in 2006, Michael communicated investment philosophy and strategies to Metropolitan West Asset Management's defined benefit, foundation, and endowment clients. Earlier in his career, he was a consultant for Asset Strategy Consulting, helping institutional clients determine the strategic direction of investment programs. Prior to that, he spent time in NYNEX Corporation's NYNEX Asset Management Company implementing asset allocation decisions for pension and retiree health care assets.
A CFA Charterholder, Michael earned his MBA in finance from Cornell University and a B.S. in business administration from Villanova University.
